Allocates available funds for special needs and worthy medical and dental projects in the community. It arranges opportunities for member donation of time and / or resources to charitable organizations. The committee meets or has a conference call monthly and is active all year long.
Membership Outreach & Hospitality
Actively recruits new members, encourages attendance and focuses on member retention. Coordinates after-hours socials. Meets and greets new members at GMDM lunch meetings, delivers welcome bags to new members, calls members in regards to luncheon RSVP’s and helps sign in attendees. The committee meets monthly or bi-monthly and is very active all year long.
Spearheads joint seminars with other associations featuring presentations on timely issues and concerns facing healthcare professionals. The committee meets during the first quarter of the year and then communicates by conference call and email to plan and implement at least one continuing education event per year.
Annual event or special recognition honoring bosses in October. Committee members plan and host the event, including soliciting sponsors. The committee meets in March, May, July, and September and committee members must (except in extenuating circumstances) be available to assist in Bosses’ Night set-up, registration, and / or break down.
Plans program speakers for the monthly luncheon meetings. The Committee gathers suggestions from members for possible topics and speakers. Recruits and introduces the speakers. The committee works primarily through phone and e-mail correspondence with meetings, as needed. This committee is active all year, intensely so in the first quarter.
